release day: to dream of white & gold

It’s release day for To Dream of White & Gold, and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the people who have helped me along the way - my beta readers, my editor, my cover and map designers, my family and friends … Thank you! Fulfilling a lifelong dream feels … well, a bit weird, really; I’m sure it will sink in at some stage.

If you’re a new subscriber, welcome, and thanks so much for joining (especially to the arc readers who joined - that really means the world to me). I don’t post much, and when I do it will probably either be for an indie review, or to let you know what I’m up to. On the latter note …

  • I was beyond excited to get a starred review for TDoW&G from Kirkus (you can read it here).

  • I am currently drafting a Death Dreamer Origins novella (set some thousands of years before TDoW&G, but you’ve met the primary character in one of Lorcan’s stories). I’m hoping to have this done in the next few months and share it exclusively with my blog subscribers prior to publication.

  • I am also re-drafting the second Death Dreamer novel, A Lie of Desert Red. It’s not exactly behaving at the moment; the first few chapters are proving difficult to pin down, but I’m determined to wrest them under control and have a full new draft by the end of the year. I’m so excited to pick up Lida’s journey, and to introduce a few new characters, too …

And that’s it for the moment; I hope that you are keeping well, wherever in the world you are.
